Era 2003-2007

Pokémon-ex

Pokémon-ex from the ex block, recognisable by the lowercase “ex” after the name.

Introduced in 2003, Pokémon-ex are stronger than other Pokémon, but your opponent takes 2 Prize cards when they are Knocked Out. Holo across the whole card, like this Team Rocket’s Snorlax ex (2004).

Good to know Not to be confused with uppercase Pokémon-EX (2012-2016): a different era, a different market.
