Gym series (1998-1999): the Gym Leaders' Pokémon.

In the Gym series, Pokémon belong to Gym Leaders, whose portrait appears on the card, like this Blaine's Charizard or this Sabrina's Slowbro (Challenge from the Darkness). One of the best-loved series of the Old Back era.

Good to know The trainer’s name is part of the card name: “Blaine's Charizard” is not a regular Charizard.
